VOMISETRON drops<\/h2><\/div>

Composition:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Each 10 ml oral solution contains: Granisetron HCL 2.24 mg equivalent to Granisetron 2 mg.<\/p>\n

Indications: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

VOMISETRON\u00a0 is indicated for the prevention of:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of emetogenic cancer therapy, including high-dose cisplatin.<\/li>\n
  • Nausea and vomiting associated with radiation, including total body irradiation and fractionated abdominal radiation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Dosage: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Emetogenic chemotherapy:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The recommended adult dosage of VOMISETRON\u00a0 is 2 mg once daily or 1 mg twice daily. In the 2 mg once-daily regimen, 10 ml of VOMISETRON\u00a0 solution ( 2 teaspoonfuls, equivalent to 2 mg of granisteron ) are given up to 1 hour before chemotherapy. In the 1 mg twice daily regimen, the first 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) of VOMISETRON\u00a0 oral solution is given up to 1 hour before chemotherapy, and the second teaspoonful (5 ml) of VOMISETRON\u00a0 oral solution, 12 hours after the first.<\/p>\n

    Use in the elderly, pediatric patients, renal failure patients or hepatically impaired patients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    No dosage adjustment is recommended.<\/p>\n

    Radiation ( either total body irradiation or fractionated abdominal radiation):<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The recommended adult dosage of VOMISETRON\u00a0 is 2 mg once daily. Two 10 ml of VOMISETRON oral solution ( 2 teaspoonfuls, equivalent to 2 mg of granisteron ) are taken within 1 hour of radiation.<\/p>\n

    Pediatric use:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    There is no experience with oral VOMISETRON\u00a0 in the prevention of radiation induced nausea and vomiting in pediatric patients.<\/p>\n

    Use in the elderly:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    No dosage adjustment is recommended.<\/p>\n
