PROFENDOL 400

Composition :

Each film coated tablet of PROFENDOL contains: Ibuprofen 400 mg

Indications :

PROFENDOL is indicated for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects for the relief of the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain. PROFENDOL (ibuprofen) tablets are also indicated in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.

Dosage :

PROFENDOL film coated tablets: PROFENDOL tablets should be taken after meals.
Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis including flare-ups of chronic disease:
Suggested dosage: 1200 mg-3200 mg daily (400 mg or 600 mg tid or qid)
The dose should be tailored to each patient, and may be lowered or raised depending on the severity of symptoms either at time of initiating drug therapy or as the patient responds or fails to respond.
In general patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis seem to require higher doses of PROFENDOL (ibuprofen) tablets than do patients with Osteoarthritis.
The smallest dose of PROFENDOL (ibuprofen) tablets that yields acceptable control should be employed.
In chronic conditions, a therapeutic response to therapy with PROFENDOL (ibuprofen) tablets is sometimes seen in a few days to a week but most often is observed by two weeks. After a satisfactory response has been achieved, the patient’s dose should be reviewed and adjusted as required.

Dysmenorrhea: 400 mg every 4 hours as needed.

Mild to a moderate Pain: 400 mg every 4 to 6 hours as needed.

Packaging :

PROFENDOL (film-coated tablets): 3 Blisters, each contains 10 film-coated tablets of PROFENDOL 400 mg /cartoon.
